Verse of the Week: Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Encouraging Thought: God did not leave us in a hopeless state. By ourselves we can never be good enough to please Him, so He provided us an Enabler through the Lord Jesus. That is the Holy Spirit of God. John 20:22 says, “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:” The Holy Ghost is called the Comforter and a Teacher (John 14:26). He empowers the believer to witness throughout the whole world for Jesus (Acts 1:8) and gives us boldness and courage. With the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, it is possible to live a life pleasing to God.
Words of Wisdom: Recognize today that in and of ourselves, we all fall short of God’s glory. The only way possible to live a life pleasing to God is with God’s help. And that starts by recognizing that you are a sinner and that nothing you do by human effort will ever please God. That’s why God sent His Son.
