Verse of the Week: Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Encouraging thought: In John 16:33, Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Words of Wisdom: Herein lies one of the secrets to peace. If we keep our minds focused on God and trust Him to guide us, we can’t help but experience a great calm in our spirit. His peace settles over us. Jesus wants us to have a calm spirit. That’s why He said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
But how does that affect us? 1John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them [those with a spirit of antichrist]: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” And that’s where our peace comes from.
